Heating and AC retrofits and remodels
Remodeling your house often involves moving plumbing fixtures around to make everything work and look the way you want it to. You may have to replace, move, or add water and heating pipes and fixtures to make everything work right.
Maybe your furnace, boiler, or cooling system is old and worn out, outdated and inefficient, or needs expensive repairs that just aren’t cost effective.
With such a wide range of products and prices available to you, it’s no secret that choosing the best one for your situation can be a daunting task. I’ll work with you to find the best solution to whichever problem you have, and replace the necessary system quickly, using the right products for your home.
.
Replacement tubs, showers, sinks, and toilets for your bathroom
Has your bathroom tub, sink, or toilet been there since the 60s? You know…the bluish green color that’s way out of style. Does your toilet seem to use five gallons of water every time you flush it? Maybe it’s always running.
If you do, consider replacing them with modern styles and colors that are also much more energy-efficient than the old ones, saving you money on your monthly utility bills, not to mention the environment.
Your bathroom can be retrofitted to look beautiful with a new tub, shower, and toilet, most times in only one day, and the cost is affordable to most people.
Together, we’ll come up with the right styles and colors that fit your home, your lifestyle, and your personality. Give me a call and let’s get you on the road to the new bathroom you’ve been dreaming about.
.
Forced hot air, gas, and oil furnace repairs, cleaning, and installation
If it’s mid February and your home is as cold as the Arctic Circle, and your heat just won’t come on… you may have a problem with your boiler or furnace.
And since you’ve got four layers of clothes on and are still shivering uncontrollably, you’ll want to call me to get it fixed – now! With 24 hour emergency service and a supply of the most common parts in stock, I can diagnose and fix your heating problem in a flash, getting your house warmed up to a comfortable temperature before you know it.
Furnaces and boilers can be very efficient at heating – but only if they are regularly cleaned and maintained.
You see, your furnace is just like your car. With proper maintenance and regular cleanings by a qualified technician, it will provide you many years of trouble-free operation.
But if you neglect it…well…that’s a whole different story.
It could work much harder than it needs to or is designed to, and cost you thousands of dollars in wasted oil or gas costs.
Or worse, your furnace could just decide to take a vacation on the coldest day of the year. And to be honest, neither of those is something you want to happen to you.
Building a new home and need a brand new heating system? No problem! We can work together (or I can work with your contractor) to make sure you’ll get the right heating system designed and installed at the right price. And all the work I do and products I install for you will adhere to all local, state, and federal building codes, too.
Helpful hint** If you don’t have any heat, make sure you have oil or gas before you call me. I’m sure you don’t want to pay for an unnecessary service call.

Radiant and geothermal heating installation
There’s nothing that feels nicer than walking on a heated floor that’s all toasty warm. When your floor and feet are warm, then so are you.
Radiant heating systems can make you more comfortable than any other type of heat. It’s also energy efficient, quiet, clean, safe, and even child friendly.
Because there are several types of radiant heating systems, with pros and cons to each, you’ll benefit from my experience in designing and installing the right radiant heating system for your needs.
Another option for clean, reliable heating and cooling is geothermal technology (think hot spas and springs). Geothermal extracts the consistent heat energy from holes drilled inside the earth’s core, and using the right equipment, converts it to heating or cooling energy for your home.
And it may make sense for you, because according to the U.S. EPA, geo-exchange systems can save homeowners 30-70 percent in heating costs, and 20-50 percent in cooling costs, compared to conventional systems. They also can be more cost-effective because they require much less maintenance and are highly reliable.
To find out if geothermal or radiant heating is right for you and your home or business, call today for a complimentary, no-obligation survey and consultation.

Hot water heater repairs and installation
Let’s face it…It’s no fun to run out of hot water during your shower.
And it can certainly be unnerving to find a pool of water in your basement.
When either of these happens to you, the culprit is most often your hot water heater.
Your hot water heater is the big tank in your basement that provides hot water to your whole house whenever you need it. It’s kind of like a big reservoir of heated water.
There are times when it makes sense to fix your hot water heater, and other times when it may just not be cost effective to repair it. It will all depend on the specific problem and the environment.
When fixing it doesn’t make sense, then it’s time to replace it. You can trust me to help you determine the best new hot water heater to install in your home.
There are several technologies and manufacturers available for residential and commercial use, and you want to make a smart decision about the replacement you choose.
On-demand tankless hot water heaters…Indirect hot water heaters…Different sizes…Different capacities… Different performance…Powered by gas or electric… Different energy efficiency ratings…
These are all factors you need to look at, and I’m here to make sense of it all for you.
.
Gas piping installation and repairs
If you need to repair, move, or install new gas piping in your home or office building so you can hook up to gas boilers, air conditioning, or other gas operated appliances and equipment, contact me today.
Since I’m specially licensed to install gas piping, I have the necessary equipment and tools to install it safely, and to code. This means you can be confident your home will be safe from any gas leaks and mishaps caused by the gas pipes and fittings.
.
Air conditioning installation and repairs
When the hot, hazy, and humid days of summer roll around and the sweat’s just pouring off you because your AC doesn’t work, call me can I can diagnose what’s ailing it, then fix it as good as new.
If you don’t have air conditioning at all, and you can’t stand the heat, then that’s another story…but one I can certainly help you with.
There are so many types of AC units currently on the market, knowing which one is right for you can be a challenge. There are pros and cons to each technology and manufacturer, and you’ll get a non-technical explanation from me, because I won’t bore you with complicated techie talk. Just straight forward answers to your questions.
Sump pump installation
Standing or rising water in your basement just plain sucks. Whether it’s an inch or a foot of water, there’s nothing good about it. As a matter of fact, it can be downright life-threatening if you do the wrong thing.
And if it rises high enough to reach your furnace or burner, hang on tight, because it’s gonna’ cost you big time!
Possibly several thousands of dollars for a whole new furnace, or even tens of thousands of dollars to replace moldy and wet sheetrock, walls, carpets, and whatever else you have down there.
That’s why I install sump pumps. Electric and battery back-up pumps, submersible and floor standing models. The right sump pumps will help protect you, your family, and you furnace, saving you tons of cash.
You can consider me a “basement saver” or a “sump pump specialist”.
Based on the conditions and many other factors of your house, landscape, and basement, I’ll work with you to come up with a plan and the right sump pump or combination of sump pumps to prevent the devastating damage groundwater or flood water can do to you home.
